We want you to get the care you deserve.

What is Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a growing model of healthcare that provides uncomplicated, patient focused care.  It is a monthly fee based membership model that does not utilize health insurance.  It gets rid of the red-tape and bureaucracy from insurance companies.  The membership fee includes access to Dr. Narjes through in person appointments, phone calls, texts, emails, telehealth and home visits.  The freedom that comes from not utilizing health insurances allows for extended appointments, less hassle and less time spent completing paperwork.  DPC also focuses on preventive medicine, with both you and Dr. Narjes working together to identify ways to keep you healthy.

This video was produced by Day's Edge Productions for the Family Medicine Education Consortium to promote awareness of a different way to get your primary health care. The video says it all.

How will my provider have more time for me?

Dr. Narjes will spend significantly less time on completing the paperwork and documentation required by insurance companies that does nothing but “check the boxes” that they require.  He has also decreased his patient base of around 2,000 to only around 600.  You and Dr. Narjes will have the freedom to choose the best way to provide care for you, whether it is face to face, telephone, or telehealth.

Do I still need health insurance?

Yes! Alliance Family Medicine does not depend on medical insurance, but we do feel it is important to have some sort of health insurance, cost sharing program, or equivalent to help cover unexpected hospitalizations, surgeries, or catastrophic events.  We will do everything we can to keep these unexpected events from occurring, but they still can occur.  Many DPC members carry high deductible, catastrophic type plans.  Please note that DPC is not insurance, nor does it meet the criteria of the Affordable Care Act.

What happens if I need an x-ray, labs, to be hospitalized, or specialized care?

By providing personalized, exceptional care, we seek to prevent or reduce any hospitalizations or specialized services.  If that does happen, you can use your insurance for their services.  We can offer referrals if you like. We do offer discounted lab services through select vendors.  We are working on coordinating discounted imaging services.  Access to these cash pay discounts are included in your membership.

Can I become a member if I have Medicaid or Medicare?

You can become a member even if you have Medicaid or Medicare.  However,  we do not bill Medicaid or Medicare and they will not pay for your membership fees.
